Artist Statement
“Since childhood I’ve felt intensely, and since childhood I’ve created art”.
“There is nothing more hideous and nothing more beautiful than the truth”.
My work is a direct reflection of the experiences so individual to my life yet shared by most if not by all.
As a figurative surrealist, I express myself fully and deeply in delicate strokes and have developed a distinctive style which has taken a lifetime to realize.
Painting, drawing, and more recently, photography have been my main mediums over the past 20+ years. I look to expand into fiber art and authoring in the near future.
The work you see is either emotionally or thought-provoking in a way that is unique to you. It has been my life's passion to create these truly unique pieces and an honor to share them with you. My wish is that you see something within you upon the reflection of a particular piece. May that piece find its forever home with you.
Thank you,
KL Landin
